Terms
Last updated 1 November 2026.
Sample text for the theme’s demo. This page is written for Runnel Labs, an invented software company, and is not legal advice. Replace it with the text for your own product, and have that reviewed by someone qualified for your country before you publish.
These terms are in two parts. The first covers your use of this website and the documentation. The second sets out the terms on which Runnel Labs Ltd, PO Box 0000, Dublin, Ireland (company number 000000), “Runnel Labs” or “we”, provides Runnel Cloud, the hosted service. An Enterprise order form can add to them or depart from them; where it does, the order form wins. Runnel Server, the self-hosted edition, is licensed separately under the Apache License 2.0.
Part 1: this website and the documentation
1. Using the site
You may read, share and link to the pages on this site. Code samples in the documentation may be copied into your own projects without attribution, under the MIT licence. The rest of the text, the logos and the design belong to Runnel Labs.
2. What we say here
We take care that the documentation is accurate for the current release, but it is general information, not a promise about your workload. Figures in customer stories come from our customers and describe their situation at the time.
3. Links
Where we link to another site, we are not responsible for its content or its privacy practices.
Part 2: Runnel Cloud
4. Your account
You need an account to use Runnel Cloud. If you create it for an organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your API keys. Keep keys secret, and revoke any key you think has leaked.
5. Plans, usage and payment
Each plan includes a number of runs, concurrent runs, seats and a log retention period, as shown on the pricing page when you subscribed. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly; runs above the included amount are billed monthly in arrears at your plan’s rate. Prices exclude VAT. If a payment fails, we tell you and try again for 14 days before limiting your account to the Hobby plan’s limits. We never delete queued runs because of a failed payment.
6. Changes to prices and features
We give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change applies to you, and yearly plans keep their price until renewal. We may change or remove features, but we announce breaking changes to the API and SDKs in the changelog at least one major version ahead and keep the previous major version working for at least 12 months.
7. Your data and your code
Your jobs’ payloads, outputs, step results and logs belong to you. We process them only to provide the service, under our data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms. Your code runs on your own workers and is never sent to us, except the job names and options that runnel deploy registers. You can export your runs through the API at any time, and for 30 days after your account closes.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Runnel to send spam, to attack other systems, to store data you have no right to process, or in a way that degrades the service for others, such as deliberately exceeding rate limits. We may suspend a project that puts the service or other customers at risk; where we can, we warn you first and tell you how to fix it.
9. Availability and support
We aim to keep Runnel Cloud available at all times and publish its status at status.runnel.example. Uptime commitments and service credits apply only to the Scale and Enterprise plans, as described in the service level agreement. Support response times depend on your plan.
10. Security
We protect the service and your data with the measures described in our privacy policy and security overview. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we tell you within 48 hours of confirming it.
11. Liability
We provide the service with care, but your jobs’ results depend on your code and the systems it calls, which we do not control. Our total liability in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, except in the case of intent, gross negligence or where the law does not allow a limit. We are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit or lost data that you could have restored from your own records.
12. Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time in the billing settings; a paid plan runs until the end of its billing period and is not refunded pro rata, except where the law requires it. We can end the agreement with 60 days’ notice, or at once if you seriously breach these terms and do not put it right within 14 days of being asked.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Irish law. If we disagree, we first try to solve it together; if that fails, the courts of Dublin decide, without affecting any right you have as a consumer to go to the courts where you live.
